Elite Group For Medical Equipment and Investments was established in 1998 as an independent entity specializing in the medical equipment field. Elite Group emerged from Herman Smith Associates International (HSAI) bringing together the reputation and commitment of a large size international company with the flexibility of a medium size local company.
Elite Group offers specialized, high-quality, and cost-effective services to the healthcare community in several fields by partnering with highly reputable international equipment manufacturers.

Our Mission is to become the Elite Medical and Health solutions provider in Jordan.

Having this in mind, Elite Group continues to look for opportunities to partner with reputable international firms that offer solutions, whether in Elite Group’s specialized fields or new related fields.

Our History

Herman Smith Associates (HAS) was established as a hospital consulting firm in 1947. The Firm was based in Chicago, Illinois. In the middle East, its business is conducted under the name Herman Smith Associates International, S.A.R.L (HSAI). In 1988, Herman Smith Associates merged with Coopers and Lybrand, L.L.P. (C&L) and consolidated their offices with C&L. In 1996, C&L discontinued performing its healthcare consulting work under the HSA name. HSAI continues to maintain a relationship with C&L. In 1992, one of the Herman Smith Associates International partners formed PRISM Healthcare Consulting, in part, to maintain the rich consulting heritage of Herman Smith Associates. PRISM now provides consulting support to HSAI. Its founder was both a HAS and C&L partner and has been a HSAI partner since its formation.

Herman Smith Associates was one of the oldest and largest firms dedicated to providing management and consulting services exclusively to the healthcare field. In operation for nearly 50 years, the Firm served more than 1,000 hospitals, medical schools, and healthcare organizations. Many of these clients were served on several projects, in some cases over a period in excess of 20 years. In an effort to serve its increasing number of clients, the Firm opened additional offices on the United States West coast, and in the Middle East. The Firm expanded into the international market in 1972 by forming a Middle East company with its head offices in Amman, Jordan; offices in Beirut, Lebanon; and Athens, Greece. PRISM Healthcare Consulting is now the United States strategic partner to HSAI, providing strategic, operational, programmatic, technical, and facility development expertise for HSAI projects worldwide. Such assistance is based on the rich HAS and HSAI healthcare consulting heritage

In 1983, HSAI formed ServiceMaster Middle East (operating in Jordan as Consolidated Support Services CSS )  as a subsidiary, under license from the ServiceMaster Company, of Downers Grove, Illinois, U.S.A for providing support services to hospitals and other institutions. Those support services are in the areas of  Hygienic Services, Laundry, Plant Operation and Maintenance, Food Service and Catering, and Medical Equipment (ME) Sales and Maintenance.

The Medical Equipment (ME) division was set up in 1995 to complement and complete the services of HSAI in the medical field. The ME division employed highly qualified engineers and technicians with experience in sales and in maintenance. The ME division targets both the governmental and the private sectors. This division has established a solid reputation for excellence in its sales activities, maintenance jobs, and cost-effectiveness.  From its consulting background, HSAI’s ME division gave its customers problem-solving solutions efficiently. The ME division was supported in its marketing efforts by the full HSAI/CSS sales force and staff.

Elite Group For Medical Equipment and Investments was established in 1998 to continue the professional work of Consolidated Support Services’ (CSS’s) Medical Division. The establishment of the group took place to technically specialize in the medical equipment field. With Herman Smith Associates International (HSAI) and CSS financial strength and the specialization of Elite Group, the new company can enjoy the benefits of both an international, financially capable, and reputable corporation, and the specialization, commitment, and flexibility of a medium size company

Our Team

Elite Group is proud of the skilled and dedicated sales and service teams. The teams include highly motivated, certified biomedical engineers and technicians who have years of experience in their fields. Elite Group understands the importance of timely and efficient service, thus responds to clients’ needs promptly. Elite Group is investing in manpower, training, and tools for maintenance and calibration as well as software, remote diagnosis which enables the detection of faults as soon as they happen, or even before they happen by analyzing signs of possible breakdowns in components.

Elite Group believes in continuous training for its staff as well as the client’s staff, so in addition to the application training of the client’s team upon installation, further first line service training is provided to the client’s team thus increasing their ability to handle minor errors and increase efficiency.

Elite Group provides warranty in line with the manufacturer’s policy along with service contracts upon request and is also committed to providing needed spare parts promptly by keeping a stock of fast-moving items.
